careers

Once you have left the University, you may have a great job lined up or a place to do a postgraduate course.  Whatever you situation, whether you know exactly what you want to do or not, you are welcome to use the Careers team, their resources and the Careers Portal.

Book a careers interview

You may want to spend some time talking about your plans, aspirations and how to turn them into reality or need to work out some thorough answers for a complicated application form.  Book to discuss your ideas with a Careers Consultant using our appointment booking section in our Careers Portal or visit the Careers Centre in BOC.

Visit our daily Job Hunting desk, no appointment required

Every weekday, our Student Employability Advisers will be in the new Careers Centre 9am-4pm in BOC LRC and at the Job Hunting Desk in BRC LRC 12pm-2pm to support you with any aspect of looking for work, tweaking and tailoring your CV, finding ways to best sell yourself on an application form or looking for the best sites for work.

Use our Jobs Portal to find work and companies

The University of Chichester has its own exclusive Careers Portal where you may book a careers appointment and access a range of great work opportunities.  On this, you can access adverts for part-time work, graduate schemes and roles, internships, full-time work, volunteering and summer jobs all in one place. You are also able to book appointments and browse careers events.

Enrol on the site and make sure you take the time to set your preferences so that we know what you are looking for!  You may choose to receive emails on a daily or weekly basis to ensure you don't miss out on the latest opportunities as they come in.

Keep in contact and share your knowledge

Follow us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram: (Sam to add hyperlinks)  or email us: careers@chi.ac.uk.  The University's Careers team are always keen to talk to graduates who would be willing to share their experiences and professional expertise with current students.  Your search for work, lessons learnt and top tips are always an invaluable resource to our students.

Share your success in the Destination of Leavers Survey

All of our student leavers will be contacted six months after leaving as part of a required national survey on student employment.  It is always good to know what you are up to.  For more information about this survey and how the information is used, please click here.
