A legacy to the University of Chichester is one of the most meaningful and enduring gifts you can make, and will provide a source of much needed capital on a continuing basis. All legacies, whatever their size, will directly benefit the University, its students and academic staff. Gifts may be directed towards specific areas of the University as stipulated by you or, alternatively the Governors can direct funds to where they are needed most.

There are various ways to leave a legacy or bequest to the University of Chichester:

  • A Pecuniary Legacy – a fixed sum of money, specified in your will.
  • A Residuary Legacy – a proportion of your estate after specific responsibilities have been met.
  • A Specific or Non-Money Bequest – a gift of property, shares or gifts-in-kind.
  • A Reversionary Bequest – a share of your estate, which passes to the University after the death of a spouse or relative.
  • Adding a Codicil – if you would like simply to modify an existing Will, you can do so by adding a Codicil.
